Priming for Drywall Painting

Repairing the drywall so that it is ready to be painted is called “priming.”.This process entails repairing all the holes, cracks, and dents your drywall may have. Minor flaws, such as nail holes, can simply be filled in with spackle and then sanded smooth. Spackling small holes and imperfections is generally a very quick process.

Larger holes need more attention and take a little longer to repair. The damaged section needs to be removed and patched with a carefully cut piece of drywall Then the seams are filled with spackle, and a final coat of spackle is added before being sanded down to smooth everything over. While this process takes slightly longer, our team will be up and painting your newly repaired walls in no time.
