We’re looking for talented, detail-oriented craftsmen and craftswomen to join our tight-knit team on a full-time basis. We currently have two open positions available. 

Painters

We are expanding! Pro Painters Muskoka is a premium paint contractor in search of another talented, detail-oriented craftsman/woman to join our tight-knit team on a full- time basis. Post-secondary education and residential painting is valued but not an absolute requirement. We will train the right individual from the ground up. We hire first and foremost based on attitude.


Our workplace is positive, supportive and accommodating; combine this with the backdrop of some of the finest homes and neighbourhoods in the world and we provide the very best painting/learning experience in our industry.

Responsibilities

Some of the common duties and responsibilities of our painters include:

 

  • Moving ladders, paint cans, and other painting equipment.

  • Applying wallpaper, sealants, and wood finishes along with paint.

  • Helping to build new homes and businesses and renovating existing ones.

  • Finding ways to reduce the costs of equipment and supplies.

  • Creating bills and invoices and receiving payments from customers.

  • Negotiating with customers and addressing any concerns.

  • Driving trucks with painting supplies to and from work sites.

  • Keeping trucks and storage areas neat and clean.

  • Checking inventory and ordering paint and other supplies when needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Painters are polite and professional. They can work independently and stay focused on a task

for several hours at a time. They can also stay on their feet and do physical work for most of

each day.

Some of the top skills and qualifications for Painters include:

  • Outstanding customer service skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good planning and organizational skills.

  • Good understanding of basic math and how to keep track of expenses to follow a budget.

  • Knowledge of how to mix paint to produce the desired colors and how to use common painting tools.

  • Understanding the best ways to remove old paint or wallpaper without damaging the materials underneath.

  • Plenty of attention to detail.

Compensation, Benefits, and Details

Pro Painters Muskoka will provide the following compensation:

  • Type: Full-Time, 8 to 10 hours shiftJob

  • Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience

  • Medical/Insurance benefits upon regularization

  • Merit increase, bonus, training, and other benefits

Job Site Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Job Site Manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will serve as the point of contact for our employees and our customers and be expected to liaise between crew members, Management and customers. You must possess strong organizational and communication skills and work proficiently both individually and in teams.

  • Overseeing daily operations.

  • Coordinating employee schedules and ensuring adequate coverage.

  • Enforcing all workplace policies and procedures.

  • Coordinating training and professional development activities for employees.

  • Conducting staff performance reviews.

  • Maintaining and adhering to departmental budget.

  • Approving project plans.

  • Addressing and reporting safety concerns in a timely manner.

  • Tracking and monitoring project progress by adhering to prearranged standards.

  • Ensuring compliance across the work site.

  • Reviewing all project contracts before submitting to management.

  • Answering inquiries from potential project partners.

  • Mediating on-site conflicts.

  • Preparing and submitting bi-monthly progress reports.

Job site managers need to be polite, professional, and good at dealing with personnel and clients. They must be able to communicate effectively between clients and staff, manage several responsibilities at once, and supervise painters. They must also stay on their feet for most of each day. 

 

Some of the primary skills and qualifications our job site managers need include:

 

  • 1-3 years experience in a construction environment or project-based work site● 1

  • Budget management experience required

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds

  •  Familiarity with developing a Site Safety plan

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed)

  • Outstanding customer service skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good planning and organizational skills

  • Good understanding of basic math and how to keep track of expenses to follow a budget

  • Plenty of attention to detail

  • High school Diploma required; associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or

vocational school.

  • Job Type: Full-Time, 8 to 10 hours shift

  • Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience
